A LOVE OF MONEY PERVADES THE LDS CHURCH (Mormonism Exposed)

Joseph Smith Sr. did absolutely anything for the money needed to support his family–but work. He constantly searched for pirate treasure he pretended was buried on his property. When that didn’t provide ready cash, Joseph Smith Sr. tried forging money. One-time neighbor Judge Daniel Woodward wrote, “He …[was] …implicated in counterfeiting, but turned state’s evidence and escaped the penalty.” In 1837, the Latter-day Saints movement was rapidly growing in Kirtland, Ohio. Here, Joseph Smith Jr., true to his upbringing, plunged the cult into a financial fiasco which would force him to flee the region. He established a bank “by the revelation of God,” naming it the “Kirtland Safety Society Bank.” To coerce followers to deposit their savings, the “prophet” quoted Isaiah 60:9, with an addition: “Surely the isles shall wait for me, and the ships of Tarshish first, to bring thy sons from afar, their silver and their gold (not their bank notes) with them unto the name of the Lord thy God.” The addition is obvious.

RED ALERT! DOUBTING YOUR FAITH IS NOT A GOOD THING! (Mormonism Exposed)

RED ALERT! DOUBTING YOUR FAITH IS NOT A GOOD THING! (Mormonism Exposed)

A strong faith removes doubt.

Habakkuk 2 says, “The righteous will live by faith,” and our primary source is the Bible. Romans 10:17 says, “Faith comes from hearing and hearing by the word of Christ.” Faith is knowing what we haven’t seen. Hebrews 11:1 explains, “Now faith is…the conviction of things not seen.” No one today literally walked with Jesus, yet Christians believe in Him and know they are saved. 1 John 5:13 says, “These things I have written to you who believe (or have faith) in the name of the Son of God, in order that you may know that you have eternal life.” The trendy term is “faith-based.”

A TRAIL OF INNOCENT BLOOD – MORMON SLAUGHTER (Mormonism Exposed)

Mormonism's dark history.

Since Joseph Smith Jr. was shot to death in 1844, his murder has been monogrammed with the misused moniker of martyrdom. But Smith returned fire. Martyrs don’t shoot back. Shortly after, Brigham Young and 8 other apostles, under indictment for counterfeiting, motivated the majority of Mormons to join their hasty migration to Utah.

Book of Mormon Errors

Latter Day Saints believe the Book of Mormon is uniquely accurate because it was translated by God, who gave every word to Joseph Smith Jr. That leaves only one explanation for the plentiful problems peppering its pages: God cannot properly use the English language. Dean Brown in “Rejecting the Mormon Claims…Serious Errors in the Book of Mormon,” wrote

…The Book of Mormon, [has] factual errors which betray its human origin. I would include serious grammatical errors here, since…the Book of Mormon English ‘translation’ was supposedly dictated word-for-word by the Holy Spirit…. The original Book of Mormon contains…thousands of such errors, most of which have since been corrected.

Some mistakes are doctrinal. For example, what is now 1 Nephi 11:18 originally stated, “Behold, the virgin which thou seest is the mother of God.” The passage now reads “mother of the Son of God.”  In the first edition of the Book of Mormon, l Nephi 11:32 said, “And I looked and beheld the Lamb of God, that he was taken by the people; yea, the everlasting God was judged of the world.” The passage now reads “yea, the Son of the everlasting God was judged of the world.” Those are not minor matters; they are radical reversals of Mormon theology.

The Bible vs. Mormonism

The yawning mantra of Latter Day Saints is that the Bible is God’s word insofar as it is correctly translated. Yet, archeology, the source of the many ancient scripture copies that have resulted in our modern Bibles, is Mormonism’s worst nightmare. In the fifth video in this playlist, a letter is read from the Smithsonian stating there is not a shred of archeological evidence for the Book of Mormon. In fact, evidence contradicts the book, riddled with silly mistakes and ridiculous errors that only the most gullible could believe.

On the other hand, the Bible is accurate. The deeper the archeologist digs, the greater the evidence for its correctness. The discovery of the Old Testament scriptures with the Dead Sea Scrolls, produced before Christ, and found preserved in caves in the late 1940s, are virtually identical to the Old Testament text of our time. It is not hard to imagine why Mormons claim to be uncertain about the scriptures: three simple Bible passages crush Mormonism.

POLYGAMY: PERVASIVE THEN AND NOW LEGAL IN UTAH (Mormonism Exposed)

POLYGAMY: PERVASIVE THEN AND NOW LEGAL IN UTAH (Mormonism Exposed)

Mormon polygamy

Many embarrassing discrepancies prove the Book of Mormon is not from God. For example, it strangely forbids polygamy.

Wherefore, I the Lord God will not suffer that this people shall do like unto them of old…. there shall not any man have save it be one wife; and concubines he shall have none; For I…delight in the chastity of women. Whoredoms are an abomination before me; thus saith the Lord.

Jacob 2:26-28

Clearly, polygamy and the “chastity of women,” can’t exist at the same time.  Similarly, the Bible tells Christians in I Corinthians 7:2, “Let each man have his own wife (singular).” The Book of Mormon calls plural marriage “whoredoms” and “an abomination” to God. Ether 10:5 of the Book of Mormon declares, “…Riplakish did not do that which was right in the sight of the Lord, for he did have many wives and concubines.”

THE FABLE THE BOOK OF MORMON TELLS (Mormonism Exposed)

THE FABLE THE BOOK OF MORMON TELLS (Mormonism Exposed)

Book of Mormon history

Hi! I’m Weldon Langfield, author of The Truth About Mormonism. The Book of Mormon is the foundation of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. The Pearl of Great Price states, “We… believe the Book of Mormon to be the word of God.” Joseph Smith Jr., the cult’s founder, wrote, “The Book of Mormon is the most correct of any book on earth.”  LDS apostle Orson Pratt, Mitt Romney’s great-great-grandfather, wrote in Divine Authenticity of the Book of Mormon in 1850:

This book, if true, it is one of the most important messages …sent from God…. If false, it is one of the most cunning…impositions ever palmed upon the world, calculated to…ruin millions who…sincerely receive it as the word of God, and will suppose themselves securely built upon…truth until they are plunged…into hopeless despair. The… message in the Book of Mormon is such, that if true, no one can…be saved and reject it; if false, no one can…be saved and receive it.

Pratt eventually acted on his doubts, concluded the book is fraudulent, and rejected Mormonism.

LOST PAGES, BOOK OF ABRAHAM, KINDERHOOK PLATES: THREE LDS FRAUDS (Mormonism Exposed)

Joseph Smith and LDS frauds

On September 22, 1827, Joseph Smith Jr. said he unearthed the golden plates on the Hill Cumorah in New York state. Smith moved to Pennsylvania to translate them. Martin Harris, a successful farmer, was impressed with Smith’s work and helped with the translating. Within a few months, Joseph had dictated to Harris 116 pages of the Book of Mormon. Harris took them home to convince his wife Smith was legitimate. They were never seen again.  Those pages weren’t “retranslated.” Evidently, Smith didn’t want to be exposed; if the original pages were found, they would differ from a second rendering. Wait. Things get worse.

MORMONS: THIEVES & LIARS OF THE OLD WEST (Mormonism Exposed)

Mormon history

Thank you very much for viewing. Contrary to their claims, the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints was not a victimized sect forced to move from place in order to flee persecution for simply practicing polygamy. Their conduct caused their supposed persecutions. They did exactly what the Bible forbids; they suffered for wrongdoing. 1 Peter 4:15 declares, “By no means let any of you suffer as a murderer, or thief, or evildoer, or a troublesome meddler.”

After most Latter-day Saints fled to Kirkland, Ohio, Smith obeyed a supposed revelation. He took fifty Mormons and some followers from New York and established a Mormon presence in Jackson County, Missouri. The LDS settlers there freely told the locals that God would seize their land and give it to the Mormons.

Mormons Are Polytheists (Mormonism Exposed)

Mormonism began as a monotheistic and trinitarian religion. The Book of Mormon presents a Biblical view of God. 2 Nephi 31:21 declares, “And now, behold, this is the doctrine of Christ, and the only and true doctrine of the Father, and of the Son and of the Holy Ghost, which is one God, without end.” Alma 11:26-29 declares, “And Zeezrom said unto him, ‘Thou sayest that there is a true and living God?’ And Amulek said: ‘Yea, there is a true and living God.’’ Now Zeezrom said, ‘Is there more than one God?’ And he answered, ‘No.’” The “Testimony of Three Witnesses” states, “And honor be to the Father, and to the Son, and to the Holy Ghost, which is one God.”
