KNOW THE 3 SIGNS OF THE SECOND COMING (Bible Issues)

KNOW THE 3 SIGNS OF THE SECOND COMING (Bible Issues)

When is the 2nd coming of Christ?

Jesus promised, “…I will come again…that where I am, there you may be also” (John 14:3).  1 Thessalonians 4:16-18 provides details:

…The Lord… will descend from heaven with a shout, with the voice of the archangel, and with the trumpet of God…the dead in Christ shall rise first. Then we who are alive…shall be caught up…to meet the Lord in the air, and…we shall always be with the Lord.”

CAN CHRISTIANS LOSE THE GIFT OF ETERNAL LIFE? (Bible Issues)

CAN CHRISTIANS LOSE THE GIFT OF ETERNAL LIFE? (Bible Issues)

Can salvation be lost? Or is it "once saved, always saved"?

You and I have friends, good people, who are convinced Jesus is God’s only son, yet who also believe once a person is saved, he is always saved. One faithful, fruit-bearing believer I especially respect, spoke of a new member of her church who seemed to lead a double life. While she was going to church regularly and associating with good influences, she was also living immorally. It’s as though she had a Jekyll and Hyde “spirituality.” Her concerned friend believes that once saved, falling away is impossible, and reconciled the beginner’s misbehavior with the impossibility of apostasy by concluding that she was never saved to begin with. Isn’t that like saying if an apple falls from a tree, it was really never in the tree? Does God’s word teach once folks are saved, they can never become lost?

GOD WILL FIGHT FOR US (Unlimited Joy)

GOD WILL FIGHT FOR US (Unlimited Joy)

Joy: God will fight for us.

Thank you very much for viewing. Christians needn’t take revenge; God handles it. Nehemiah 4:20 says,  “Our Lord will fight for us.”

God Fought for Israel at the Red Sea

Pulverized by ten punishing plagues, Pharaoh allowed the Israelites to leave Egypt. He changed his mind, however, and his army pursued them. As God’s people arrived at the impassable barrier of  the Red Sea, their situation looked hopeless. Yet, Moses declared, “The Lord will fight for you” (Exodus 14:14). When they reached the Red Sea, a pillar of cloud came between them and Pharaohs’ chariots. An east wind, which blew all night, divided the waters, and Israel walked across on dry land. When the Egyptians, following right behind and still shocked by the sea’s parting, tried to escape, the water walls crashed upon them. Poet Thomas Moore wrote:

MISTREATMENT OF THE DIVORCED (Divorce and Remarriage in a Few Minutes #1)

Hi. I’m Weldon Langfield, author of The Truth About Divorce and Remarriage: A Politically Incorrect View of Marriage, Divorce and Remarriage in Today’s Church. Feedback from those who have read my book and visited my website, WeldonLangfield.com, where articles on divorce and remarriage can be studied, have convinced me that many divorced Christians want to follow the Bible. They are not so eager to remarry that they throw caution to the wind and ignore God’s word, or read into it what they want to believe. Just the opposite. They usually want to be married again. Their failed marriages and bleak single lives have taught them something that folks in original, intact marriages usually cannot understand: the truthfulness and wisdom of Genesis 2:18: “It is not good for the man to be alone. I will make him a helper suitable for him.”

STRANGE FACTS ABOUT MORMONISM: What is a Cult?

STRANGE FACTS ABOUT MORMONISM: What is a Cult?

What primarily distinguishes cults from “orthodox” religions? Loyalty to the founders’ teachings.1 Theologian Walter Martin, in his lifetime, was the authority on cults. He wrote, “A cult…may be defined as a group of people gathered around a specific person or person’s interpretation of the Bible.”2 Scientology doctrines, for example, are from a 1950 pop psychology book, Dianetics, by L. Ron Hubbard, an author of adventure stories and “sci fi” for fiction magazines.

GOD AND HUMAN DIVERSITY: Part 3

GOD AND HUMAN DIVERSITY: Part 3

God warned of the danger of cultural diversity in Daniel’s vision. The prophet saw a statue representing four great kingdoms. The last of the realms, the Roman Empire, was symbolized by the statue’s feet. The Bible says, “…as the toes of the feet were partly of iron and partly of clay, so the kingdom shall be partly strong and partly fragile” (Dan. 2:42-43). Historians remind us that its citizens lacked loyalty to the empire and that this was part of the reason for its collapse. Rome attempted to absorb conquered nations. At times, soldiers from subjugated peoples made up much of the Roman army, including the Praetorian Guard, a regiment of 7,000 elite bodyguards charged with protecting the emperor.

GOD AND HUMAN DIVERSITY: Part 2

GOD AND HUMAN DIVERSITY: Part 2

God requires unity among Christians. Christ prayed that his followers “…may be one, as You, Father, are in Me, and I in You; that they also may be one in Us, that the world may believe that You sent Me” (John 17:21). Yet some modern politicians have advocated a “global nation” goal for the human race. Is that the kind of unity our Father desires? His response to the Tower of Babel answers the questions. Consider Gen 11:4-10:

GOD AND HUMAN DIVERSITY: Part 1

The Bible teaches that God, as always, wants his people to be unified. In the Old Testament, the division of the Northern and Southern Kingdoms went against his word. The Bible extols unity. Psalm 133:2 declares, “Behold, how good and how pleasant it is for brethren to dwell together in unity!” Unity of all races is commanded in the New Testament as well. Galatians 3:28-29 reads, “There is neither Jew nor Greek, there is neither slave nor free, there is neither male nor female; for you are all one in Christ Jesus.” All ethnicities are equally Christian and we are to worship and practice the faith together in harmony.

COMMUNISM V. CHRISTIANITY: Part 3 – Living Under Communism

COMMUNISM V. CHRISTIANITY: Part 3 – Living Under Communism

Christianity was established in Rome’s totalitarian regime. Freedoms we take for granted in Western democracies were not available. While Christians could be part of the Roman government, believers today cannot be members of a communist party. Aside from that, many Bible teachings that helped early Christians live in a powerful military empire are useful today for those living under communism.
