The author cited…many eminent scholars in churches of Christ going back over the years. I was amazed at the number of reviews of these highly respected ministers, all of whom rejected the conservative positions of later debaters in the church (Warren, Deaver, etc). I have a personal interest in reviewing these matters, seeing my own wife of 60 years deserted me over three years ago, being under the direct influence of change agents in the church (Atchley, Lucado, Shelley, Anderson, etc.)…

Very sound Bible scholars within the churches of Christ did not believe or teach what is the most widely accepted teachings on this topic. From what I have learned, this current “PC teaching” didn’t begin until around 1930 and by the 1960s, not only did it become the most widely accepted teaching about MDR, it became the ONLY acceptable understanding of MDR. Many who were in control of Gospel Advocate and Firm Foundation and other “brotherhood” periodicals began attempting to erase evidence that anyone who was respected had ever taught differently. I highly recommend this book.
